Spring Application Cycle
The application period for Spring admission will begin July 15 and end August 15.
Fall Application Cycle
The application period for Fall admission will begin January 15 and end February 15.
To better prepare you for LASC's Nursing Application, please be sure have the following documents ready to UPLOAD with your application:

Type an essay with a MINIMUM of 250 words.
You must provide ALL transcripts for any regionally accredited institution attended. No diplomas or certificates will be accepted.
Copies of OFFICIAL transcripts will be accepted for the purpose of the nursing application.
You must provide a copy of official high school transcripts/GED transcript if you do NOT have a degree (i.e. Associates, Bachelors, Master's Degree, etc.). Degree must be posted on submitted transcripts.

For students transferring from another nursing program. Students who were previously enrolled in a LACCD nursing program are not eligible to apply.

Letter must be on official letterhead of place of employment and must state your position, length of time in position, and your duties.
We recommend reviewing the current Nursing Program Costs so you can be financially prepared, including applying for Financial Aid and/or Scholarships to help you pay for the program.
We know we are asking for a lot of documentation and prerequisites from you. We require this information so we know where you are in your education and to verify that you will be eligible by the California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) to get your licensure once you successfully complete our nursing program.
Therefore, if you have questions about what you need to submit after reviewing the requirements, our Information Session will help you become familiar with all of the documentation and information you will need for the Nursing application. We will also review the prerequisites you will need to complete before you can submit your application. And, you will have time to ask any questions you may have about the application process.
These sessions will guide you through the steps needed to apply to the Nursing Program.
Prompt attendance is strictly required. The zoom meeting room will be locked after the starting time. No late entry will be allowed. Only a 5-minute grace period will be allowed.

Thank you for choosing LASC to complete your career goals in nursing! Transfer students are considered students who have withdrawn from another nursing program with a satisfactory academic status and are eligible to return. If this is you, here’s how you can apply to LASC’s Nursing program.
First, please note, we are currently only accepting transfer students if space is available. Therefore, space for transfer students is very limited.

Note: If you were enrolled in another Associate Degree Program and were academically dismissed, you are NOT eligible to apply to this program.
If you’ve taken academic courses in another country, and you would like to have those reviewed for possible credit, you will need to have an official evaluation report completed by an approved evaluation agency. An approved agency list is available in the Counseling Office in the Student Services Building, Room 227, and in the Nursing Department, or online with one of the agencies below.
